MK/BFD WNHTH 2.0 Tour Pix Page One!

A few hours out of L.A., all members of the entourage departed their temporary tour bus to lose their just-acquired per diems in Las Vegas: October 11, 1998. Gatherable humans are (standing, l. to r.) Dale, temporary driver of temporary tour bus (unable to operate camera, hence absence of tour manager Scott in photo); Mike Keneally, auto-handshake; Marc Ziegenhagen, keyboards; Bryan Beller, bass; Cami Slotkin, merchandise and birthday; (kneeling, l. to r.) Dennis Hill, tech and van driver; Jason Harrison Smith, drums.

Jason Harrison Smith expectantly models his enticing new "do" for the boss. True story: sporting a bright yellow T-shirt, Jason snuck into a Muncie McDonalds to use the men's room. As his hand tugged on the restroom door, some guy shouted "Hey, look! It's Ronald McDonald!" and the entire restaurant erupted in laughter.

Mikey, Bryan and Jason accomplish some preliminary head-ripping-off on the first date of the tour, the very comfortable Grateful Dead-esque Quixote's True Blue in Denver on October 13. The narrow stage design, however, meant that Marc inhabited a keyboard station some 50 yards to the left.

Mike dons a hat-from-the-past lent by a fan during the amazing show at Martyrs' in Chicago on October 16. This photo marks the debut of Mike's new onstage fashion accessory, a darling fuzzy crotch cover!

Tour publicist Leighsa Gonzalez and merch maven Cami Slotkin boogie bodaciously to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18.

Recording artist Mike Keneally boogies blurrily to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18. Note new sequined crotch cover.

BFD bassboy Bryan Beller boogies beatifically to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18.

Keyboardologist Marc Ziegenhagen boogies bouncily to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18.

Glutton for punishment Bob Tedde and BFD bassboy Bryan Beller boogie beautifully to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18.

Passionate BFD stick man Jason Harrison Smith boogies blindingly to Rosemary Girl at the surreal Alabama State Fair gig on October 18. In the final frame, our hero attempts in vain to resist being possessed by the spirit of Don Rickles, who's not even dead yet.
