I'll never understand how Mike comes up with stuff like this. I guess it's the piano background..? When you listen to it,
you probably think it's just one guitar but there's actually quite a lot of other instruments in there. This tab is for
the main underlying melody as played by the acoustic guitar. The main theme repeats twice, the second time with another guitar doing some embellishments in higher fret territory.
Once again, this isn't tabbed. Also, I'm fairly sure the main guitar is NOT tuned to Dropped D with a Capo at the first fret,
but as I wanted this to be as accurate sounding as possible by itself, I have tabbed it as such. You can't hit the bass
notes without this tuning method, and it sounds barren without them. There’s a part where he is clearing hitting an open
D string note, but by the time I got to that section I already had most of the song transcribed using this tuning method - so
some concessions were made. The notes are correct, but where you play them may not be the same. Apologies for the ugliness
of this tab....I original transcribed the song using Guitar Pro, then I exported it to an ASCII file from there. There are
PDF (see below for download - ed.) and .gpx file formats available if you want them; just email me. Since this is played with a capo at the first fret, I’ve tabbed all first fret notes as open strings - since that’s how you
would play it anyways. Just remember, 0 = 1 in this tab.
