Scambot 2 & Concert Updates!

I have been radio silent for a while, I know – but we’ve been real busy.

Yesterday was the last day of studio work on Scambot 2, and the additional album of material from the Scambot 2 sessions.

This album (these albums!) has (have!) been a long time coming, and we are most grateful indeed for your patience.

We’ll have a lot more to tell you, including release date and pre-order info, very soon.

In the meantime, some upcoming gigs…

This Friday, Aug. 21, I’ll be a special guest with San Diego’s wonderful Back To The Garden playing some Eric Clapton tunes at a free concert in El Cajon. Really a nice way to wind up your work week. I’m looking forward to having a good time at this show!

The new Joe Satriani album Shockwave Supernova came out recently and is being really well received, I’m happy to say. It’s the first of Joe’s albums to feature his current band of Bryan Beller, Marco Minnemann and myself. This is the first leg of the tour – we’ll be visiting many more places in 2016. I’m delighted and grateful to be heading out on another tour cycle with my friends Joe, Bryan and Marco and look forward to seeing a lot of you at Satriani shows over the next year or so!

As always I’m grateful to you for staying in touch with what I’m doing musically and I hope you’ll be as happy with Scambot 2 as I am. I’ll type more at you soon.

Thank you!

Yo, you!

Getting ready to do Beer For Dolphins gigs – we’ve got San Pedro this Saturday, San Diego (El Cajon actually) on Sunday and San Francisco on Wednesday. Figured out the setlist yesterday. It’s going to be a hootenanny and three-quarters – please come to one of these shows if you can!

And hey! We’ve got a couple of free tickets for the San Francisco gig, which we are exclusively making available here on The Keneallist. Here’s how to get them – rewrite the lyrics to the beginning of one of my songs, and send them to Whichever lyrics make me smile the widest and/or laugh the loudest gets the comps – just have them sent in by Tuesday please. Good luck!

And, hey again! We somehow published the wrong date for the upcoming Baked Potato Beer For Dolphins show in the last Keneallist – it’s actually FRIDAY JUNE 19 (not Saturday the 20th). Sorry for the confusion!

Also, the night before that (Thursday June 18th) I’ll be playing in Jamie Kime‘s band at the Baked Potato. We’ll be playing songs from his seriously wonderful debut album Alleys (seriously co-produced by me) and some other things as well. Tickets here!

And on June 12th I’ll be at the Wiltern in LA in Joe Satriani‘s band as part of BENEFIT FOR CLIFF III, along with Steve Vai and Animals As Leaders, with a special guest appearance from Brendon Small. I just checked the seating chart here and there are still some seats available but this night looks likely to sell out, so move on it quickly if you want to witness this special event.

I know there’s a lot of people wanting to see Beer For Dolphins in places other than California, but between my schedule finishing up Scambot 2, Bryan Beller‘s Aristocrats touring and Joe Travers‘ continuing work with the Zappa tape vault, this is all we’ve got time for right now. We will do our best to make more shows happen in more locations in 2016.

OK! Back to practicing. Thank you!
