A few weeks ago I was out doing this sort of thing A few weeks ago I was out doing this sort of thing in the Finnish wilderness, with Chanan Hanspal, Jaan Wessman Official and Schröeder joining me for an upcoming film project directed by Mikko Keinonen. Here are a few brief cell phone videos (shot by Tomi Laurikainen) with me playing the Lava Drops fretless guitar, which I have come to love very much in the short time I've had it. I look forward to a long, happy future with this incredible instrument. Opened for Lifesigns last night with a trio featur Opened for Lifesigns last night with a trio featuring Gregg Bendian and Teddy Kumpel and it was so much freaking fun. Thank you guys. Tonight at the Lifesigns gig at Electric City in Buffalo I’ll be doing a solo set - Matt Dorsey will open the night with a solo set of his own, and our two sets will kinda bleed together in an interesting way. I believe that Dave Bainbridge from Lifesigns will also be participating in my solo set. All the guys in Lifesigns are just such brilliant players and such lovely guys. We’re in a van to Buffalo as I type. We had an inhumanly early lobby call this morning in order to bring this show to you kind Buffalo folks this evening. YOU HAVE TO ATTEND.

But also it turns out I’ll be doing a bit more - sadly Patrick Moraz has taken ill and been advised not to travel, so I’ve inherited his solo spot on Friday night, opening for the David Cross Band. A new Mike Keneally/Marcelo Radulovich album, BASK A new Mike Keneally/Marcelo Radulovich album, BASK 2, premieres on Bandcamp today for Bandcamp Friday. This is the fifth album to come out from me and Marcelo over the last fourteen months. The collaboration feels to me like it’s reached an apotheosis with this album. Marcelo has a way of mixing, and the two of us apparently have a way of quickly creating music, that has now arrived at a very precise destination, a sound world I can’t describe, it has to be heard. Our ongoing collaboration is not over yet, and in a way it’s hard for me to imagine where it’s going to go next, but with this album it really has gotten to a place that fascinates me completely and I love it. I hope you can get behind the singular and peculiar nature of this new album. We’ve got two separate parallel sets of albums going on – the series of instrumental albums named after the days of the week (so far we’ve done three of those, MONDAY through WEDNESDAY), and the two vocal BASK albums. If you’re a headphone music listener, hoo boy just you wait ‘til you hear this new one. Just you wait! BASK 2 will be added later today to the Titicacaman Records catalogue on Bandcamp, which can be found at titicacamanrecords.bandcamp.com

Today we're introducing WING BEAT FANTASTIC - SONGS BY MIKE KENEALLY AND ANDY PARTRIDGE to our Bandcamp roster, supplemented by two bonus tracks: the original unadorned piano track for "That's Why I Have No Name," along with Scott Chatfield's edit of all the album tracks (called "Little Wing Beat") which was used back in the day on the old Keneally dot com to promote the album - Scott's album collages (I always called them edit bouquets) were always great fun for me to hear, and instructive for me to see which bits of the songs stuck out to him as worthy of hlghlighting. Of course the album itself remains a highlight of my life in music - such a privilege/pleasure to be able to work with Andy Partridge in the creation of this batch of material.
